I love writing and reading novels, non-fiction (mainly nature writing at the moment) and short stories.

In 2019 I won my first award, in LoveReading's Very Short Story competition, for The Undiscovered Tribe, voted 'People's Choice'.

I have written a first novel, Meadow, and begun a second, The Book of Weeds for Joy and Sorrow.  Both stories are set in Dorset at the beginning of the 20th century and are my way of reconnecting with a time before industrial agriculture.


When I began to understand the seriousness of the climate and environmental urgency, I decided to pause my search for an agent and my fiction writing while I committed my time to establishing the new national rewilding charity, Heal
