I love writing and reading novels, non-fiction (mainly nature writing at the moment) and short stories.
In 2019 I won my first award, in LoveReading's Very Short Story competition, for The Undiscovered Tribe, voted 'People's Choice'.
I have written a first novel, Meadow, and begun a second, The Book of Weeds for Joy and Sorrow. Both stories are set in Dorset at the beginning of the 20th century and are my way of reconnecting with a time before industrial agriculture.
